Restaurant & Coffee Lounge
Ballydougan Restaurant & Coffee Lounge enjoys a unique setting at Bloomvale House. In the wonderful surroundings of the restored Linen Barn where once home produced linen was prepared and sorted before being sent off as far a-field as America, you can relax and enjoy good Ulster cooking, freshly prepared in our kitchens using the finest local produce by our team of talented chefs. Friendly staff welcome you on arrival for a hearty Breakfast, Morning Coffee, Lunch, or Afternoon Tea all served on our own hand-thrown pottery. Throughout the year and for special occasions such as Christmas & Valentine’s Day we change our decor and Menus to reflect the seasons and fresh local produce available. Dine “al fresco” in summer in the serene and colourful courtyard or in front of a blazing fire during winter. Whether you require a quick snack, a hearty lunch, or you are meeting friends for a relaxing day out, our Restaurant & Coffee Lounge is the ideal choice, combining a warm welcome, good home cooked food served on our own pottery in comfortable homely surroundings, just relax and enjoy the experience.

“A Great Place” ....Love the atmosphere and the food is great. A real gem! February 2012.
“Excellent Festive Dining” ...... We had visited for coffee in October and picked up a Christmas dining menu; it was so tempting that we booked immediately. The restaurant is open on a limited number of weekends before Christmas for evening meals. The food and ambiance was very good. Beautifully decorated Dining room, with a crackling fire....January 2012.
“Good Food & Good Service”.....We were on holiday in NI visiting family and five of us were at Ballydougan for Christmas Dinner. We had reserved a table and paid a 5 pounds per person deposit. The staff were welcoming as well as being pleasant and attentive throughout the meal with lots of smiles and laughs too. We all had a traditional Christmas dinner and it was faultless! It was piping hot, very tasty and extremely well presented. The portions we had were plentiful and, having delayed desert for a short while, we all managed to eat one, just! We had a variety of desserts none of us were disappointed with what we ate. The food here is of very good quality and the surroundings added to the Christmas feeling. Hopefully we will be back here in the Summer.........December 2011
“Lovely Place for Breakfast or Lunch”......Went to Ballydougan for a breakfast treat from my wife and really enjoyed the food and service. The staff are very friendly and the place has been modernised and looks great. Great you can also buy Ballydougan pottery items in shop. Off road parking and easy to find on the main Lurgan to Gilford road near Bleary crossroads. Lovely and cosy place to visit. ....December 2011.
“Christmas Wonderland”.......I had Lunch in Ballydougan Pottery today.( I hadn't been there for a while) It was beautiful. The Pork Loin was delicious and the sticky Toffee Pudding was melt in your mouth stuff. The service was very professional and friendly. The blazing fire was so homely. The Christmas decorations are amazing. I'm told the staff decorated the place. I thought they had employed some interior designer to do them.(staff you are in the wrong job!!) They are gorgeous.. I could have sat all day and looked around this place, A WONDERFUL PLACE. I will be back very soon. ....November 2011.
“Christmas Haven”...... Lovely unobtrusive introduction to Christmas with discreet but classy decorations in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Open fires comfy couches and friendly clean staff, Well worth a visit for catch up with friends or family lunch......November 2011.

We could not have asked for more. Regards Elaine and Ray xx....Summer 2011.
Ballydougan Pottery is a gem for anyone wishing to get away from it all for an hour or so by relaxing in a country coffee shop which also serves hot meals. Service is prompt and the staff couldn’t be friendlier giving a home from home feeling. The decor is traditional stone, thatched roof, country cottage. The working pottery shop also allows you to browse unhurried at some fine pottery and gifts. Car parking on site is ample. Visit this place once and you’ll be sure to come back for more!!!!
Recently had a complete make over and it was good before but they have done a fantastic job. It is in a beautiful peaceful setting. The coffee shop is amazing both in its decor and food. The gift shop is loaded with lots of things that you wouldn't find anywhere else. They also sell their own pottery which is made onsite. The staff are very welcoming so if you want a meal out or just drop in for coffee I would highly recommend that you pay it a visit. You will not be disappointed....April 2011.
Well worth a visit, my husband and I go there all the time. The surroundings are so peaceful. There is a lovely garden courtyard that the Coffee Shop looks out onto. The atmosphere in the Coffee Shop is fantastic. Sitting in a beautiful converted barn having coffee and a slice of tart, or cosy lunch is just so relaxing. The Gift Shop is just beautiful and their pottery is of the highest quality. Well worth a visit. Enjoy!!
“Truly Wonderful”... I was surprised to see that Ballydougan pottery was not on Trip Advisor reviews. This place is wonderful. I went 2 weeks ago and loved it. The food, the service, the welcome we received was first class. The decor and furnishings were gorgeous. The bathrooms with their little single cotton hand towels were very very sweet. Keep up the great food and great service and your onto a winner here....September 2010.
