Bloomvale House has housed generations of crafts people down through the years and now you can join us and enjoy being creative too. Ballydougan Pottery Craft Workshops offers the budding crafts person or the interested novice an opportunity to develop and learn skills in a number of crafts. Organised workshops are held throughout the year and can be tailored to individual needs.

Trained staff will demonstrate their craft enabling you to create your own unique pieces to take home and treasure. So, if you are an aspiring potter or would just like the challenge of throwing a pot on the potter’s wheel, a class at Ballydougan awaits you.

Weekend courses are available for groups of adults with accommodation provided in our 4 star self-catering cottages within the Ballydougan Pottery courtyard. So for a truly unique and magical experience join us at Ballydougan for a weekend of creativity and enjoyment.

Group Visits and Demonstrations
At Ballydougan we particularly welcome organized tours and demonstrations for your Company/Group (maximum of 50 people) to visit our historic house and pottery and avail of a fully guided tour of the pottery and workshops.
One of our potters will explain about our charming house and courtyard and show you the process of pottery making from the wet clay to the finished glazed pots. The tour lasts approximately one hour and costs £ 40.00 per group.
Advanced booking is essential. And why not begin or follow your tour with morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea in our Linen Barn Coffee Shop.
Ensure you also leave plenty of time to meander through the extensive Gift Shop or relax and enjoy the courtyard garden.
